Assessing Supplier Performance
– How to Make the Process Practical, Timely
& Relevant
Speaker:
Ray Barger
A key Supplier Balanced Scorecard is only one tool
for assessing supplier performance - Is your scorecard
effective? Are you using other assessment tools? Balanced
scorecards are trailing indicators reporting past,
tactical performance. It’s equally important
to use practical forward-looking, strategic tools
for assessing supplier alignment with internal customer
requirements. Assessment is the start of continuous
improvement with key suppliers. Discussing the assessment
and taking action to improve performance and strategic
alignment in a measurable way are the next steps.
